Our Story

Why we do it

After the birth of my first child I went back to work after the typical 3 short months and realized fairly quickly that I would be much happier spending more time with my son then dropping him off with strangers for 9+ hours a day. It was time for my husband and I to start thinking about how we could survive financially if I were to stay at home.

I have always been crafty and I especially love creating fabric art. During my son's first year I made a handful of fabric wipes out of fun print patterns that were loosely based on burp clothes. My sweet boy had a perpetual runny nose and a vicious drool problem. Thankfully the drool was only a few months. I was constantly looking for a tissue, napkin, whatever I could find. Most times, it would be my shoulder or jeans that bore the brunt of the mess. I wanted something smaller that I could bring with me that wouldn't take up so much space and was reusable. Whatever Wipes were born! After we introduced solids they were used to clean him up AND his high chair. I began to think about how useful these would be to my family and friends with little ones.  That is when it clicked that this was a product I could sell to help me attain my goal of staying home with my son and future children.

With the unending support and encouragement of my sweet husband we began to put the wheels in motion for starting up my business. We took our time coming up with just the right name that would describe concisely what we are about. One night on our long commute home I just blurted out, "reuseful"! It just popped into my head.  The "Sew" part just fit too perfectly. I believe my products are definitely useful, over and over again! All of my products are made to withstand everyday use and abuse and to reduce the amount of waste that would otherwise be produced by their commercial disposable counterparts.

Being able to spend as much time as possible with my children in their youngest years is something I hope to attain by offering my handmade products to you.

We have added a baby girl to our family in the last year and we made the decision that I would be able to stay home with the kids.  My dream is one step closer to reality!
